A day in the Bay --The Forecast -- and meetings
This morning I got up and went on a morning run with my wife Robin. I bid good bye to my son Jacob who departed to his last semester at college and the trip home to Orange County.
I composed an email to our client KPSS aobut the multiple offers that we have pending on their property in Redding as well as my concerns about their relationship with Pensler and his right of first refusals.
I also wrote an email response to Dennie Conrad about Sutter Sac Sierra Region and our financial difficulties that are developing.
I then jumped in Robin's car and headed to the Sofitel hotel in Redwood Shores in the Bay Area.BT Commercial hosted their Bay Area Real Estate forecast. About 450 people in attendance. It was outstanding. There was a take off on the red states and the blue states... With the red markets and the blue markets. Overall forecast was for a stronger and improving with some problems in employment growth and fear of rising interest rates. This was a great symposium and we need to follow-up and try and get the presenters slides. Here is a list of the presenters:

I sat with David Hood from Seagate properties. He wants us to keep our eyes open for additional sites for his group. 2-3 acres for infill- modular townhouses...
The commuting time from Sacramento to the Bay Area for a 2 hour meeting and then Back to Sacramento is all of 6 hours... It is very frustrating. Thank god for the cell phone and for Starbucks along the way. I got delayed so i missed my meeting with Jerome Beauchamp.
I got back in tiem for a pole Barn partners meeting. We have to plan on a city council meeting on February 8th. Also need to schecule a meeting with the City Manager and make calls on the city Council. Christine Golden is preparing a communication packett for the city council, and we have to get appointments established.
I then met with Nahz and reviewed with her -- her efforts in learning the office market. She is making great progress and I know she is going to become a great broker.
